商品系列: CABRIOLET

The Volkswagen Cabriolet based on the Rabbit paired the compact practicality of VW’s popular hatchback with the freedom of open-air driving. Introduced in 1979 and sold in North America as the Rabbit Convertible, it kept the Rabbit’s familiar proportions and everyday-friendly character, then added a folding soft top for sunny drives. Karmann’s convertible expertise helped shape its distinctive look, including the prominent fixed roll bar, a practical design feature that became part of the car’s identity.

The idea was simple: give drivers the useful size and approachable feel of a Rabbit, with the extra fun of a convertible. That blend of hatchback practicality, classic VW character, and top-down motoring made the Rabbit-based Cabriolet a memorable chapter in Volkswagen’s history.
