The Volkswagen EA189 TDI is a family of turbocharged1.6L and 2.0L TDI engines was used extensively from 2009–2015. Used widely across the VW Group (VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda), these 4-cylinder engines feature advanced, cleaner-burning technology, including a dual-loop EGR system, variable valve train (VVT), and urea-SCR exhaust treatment to meet Euro 6 and US-Tier 2 standards.
