TEXTAR

Textar brake pads are manufactured by TMD Friction, a German company specializing in brake friction technology. Textar is a premium brake pad brand owned and produced by TMD Friction, a global leader in friction materials based in Germany, with over a century of experience in the automotive industry. TMD Friction develops, manufactures, and tests Textar products in-house, ensuring high standards of safety, performance, and comfort. The company supplies original equipment (OE) brake components to major automakers, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Volkswagen, and Tesla . Textar brake pads are engineered with vehicle-specific friction formulations, often containing up to 40 different ingredients, and are designed to meet strict ECE R90 compliance and OEM standards. They are widely used in both passenger cars and commercial fleets across Europe, the Middle East, and parts of Asia-Pacific, and are particularly optimized for modern vehicles, including electric cars, to ensure quiet braking and compatibility with regenerative braking systems. Because Textar is produced by TMD Friction, purchasing these brake pads often provides the same formulation installed at the factory, making them a reliable choice for drivers seeking OEM-quality replacements.
